Temple Experience: Mo’okini Heiau

On the northern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii is an ancient temple (”Mo’okini Heiau”) that legend states was either built or sanctified by the shadowy figure “Pa’ao”, in order to bring a new order to the Islands, including the installation of the chiefly class. A number of practices were included in these changes; among them, mass human sacrifices that took place at the Mo’okini Heiau. Legend says that it has been, and is even now guarded by dream warriors… More information on the Mo’okini Heiau can be found here. This is also near the birthplace of the King Kamehameha The Great (which happened much later, during the 1700s). Here is one photograph of the area:

I visited the Mo’okini Heiau and the area around it this afternoon, and this was accompanied by strong increases in energy. I seemed to see or sense a power around the structure, even though I am not normally sensitive to this sort of thing. While I was there, I felt somehow unified with a higher way of being and thinking. I seemed to become more conscious of my body, especially the bones of my spine, head, and also my teeth. Interestingly, although others have often reported feeling sick or threatened by the area, I left the area extremely empowered, feeling good.

I have never quite had an experience like this before, and was wondering what thoughts or reactions others might have of it….

Dream: Alien Ghost Ship

In one dream I seemed to be within a Star Trek episode… There was battle. I was at the captain’s chair when my gunner got us shot down for not recognizing earlier that we might run into some problems. we were unprepared for a certain type of attack. It was an alien ghost ship that had gone inside of a holographic outpost in space. It was very ethereal with reality fluctuating in unpredictable ways, strange forces manipulating power for their own ends.

Still, from the captain’s chair, I felt that I had some control of events, at least from an executive point of view. I also read that space stations can ‘reveal the existence of other semi-parallel realities existing within the scope of true reality’. Fascinating…

Dream: Plane crashes and flying cars

I’ve had a couple dreams recently with space shuttles, planes, etc., crashing… I’m not really sure how to interpret them. Also, last night I dreamt that I was in a car traveling around the Big Island with my father, this time to see the telescopes, actually, and the car kept crashing (but we’d be OK). We were driving along and these storms would come through: tiny black rainclouds dumping downpours on the road and on the landscape as if they were faucets. I thought it was kind of funny, and also thought it would keep down the dust, but it did not as we drove right into a huge dust storm the picked the car clean off the road, and we flew through the air for a looong way before finally landing safely somewhere off the road. We were both ok but rather rattled from the trip. Somehow, we tried to measure how far we flew before we continued driving…

Dream: WWII invasion???

I dreamt I was watching some sort of military attack–like a WWII style beach operation. It seemed to be USA vs. USSR, with the Soviets the aggressor. I saw a huge plane/space shuttle(?) flying low over the water, and I knew that ‘we’ would win when a rocket fired from nearby (by me???) clipped the wing of the mighty vehicle, causing it to go down. The ship was huge, and I knew it was the key to the whole operation. The fighting wasn’t over, however, and I was suddenly struggling underwater, and saw another soldier grasp the American (or was it British?) flag from nearby.

Dream: MAS*H

I dreamt that I was part of a M*A*S*H unit (as in, the famous movie & TV show from the 70s/80s). We needed a new surgeon to help steal supplies so that those less fortunate would be able to survive the war. I heard one of the officers shout, “They’re afraid? Of course they’re afraid! This is war!!! If they don’t want to be afraid, then maybe they should try peace!” …a very interesting comment, and ironic because he also seemed to somehow imply that in peace, things would be worse.

Burning Implant

Last night I documented a few strange dreams… One of them took place within the Star Gate universe–I was part of the team, or perhaps just an observer. Anyway, we came back from an alien planet with a chip implanted in our brains that gave us special powers. We were able to fly, exhibit incredible strength, which was great… that is, until Carter screamed in intense agony because the chip inside her skull was becoming red-hot and cooking her from the inside out. Gruesome! It occurred to me in the dream that the chip must have been extremely hot because there were no pain sensors within the brain itself.

We did watch an episode with events somewhat similar to this several days ago. The idea was that the alien devices would provide special powers that could be used to enhance a force of commandos to disable new technology being developed by The Evil Empire (aka Goa’uld). In the episode the devices ultimately malfunctioned leaving the team in great danger. I suppose this could be a warning to use only those abilities which have been earned through proper discipline rather than those acquired through means out of line with natural development.

Dream: Gangs and Football

Last night I dreamt I was visiting my grandparents and that Mexican-American gang members were going to come over and watch football with us (Bears vs. Rams). Not necessarily a friendly visit! A police officer warned us ahead of time that afternoon, and said ‘it was going to happen, so it is best to just be prepared’. I actually spoke to some of them on the phone and before I knew it, they were ringing the doorbell. When they started to arrive, most of them actually seemed pretty friendly, but I didn’t know how much of that was genuine.

Dream: Meat and and the garbage disposal

Last night I dreamt that I was cleaning up after dinner at my parents’ house and accidentally ate meat. I didn’t know it until it was too late and realized that I had been chewing on steak or ground beef. I spit it out, but I knew that my stomach was going to be upset and would probably puke. I also realized that I had turned on the garbage disposal even though there were some utensils inside. Fortunately, most didn’t not seem to be damaged, but I did take out a pretty beat-up looking spoon afterwards.

Dream: Poison

Last night I dreamt that I was poisoning around my parents’ backyard. I also noticed that they happened to be living in quite a poor neighborhood for some reason… Several of the houses around them were abandoned, yards overgrown, etc. Some of the walls had huge gaps in them, and seemed to be falling apart. I had to make sure I got poison in the gaps.

This dream may or may not have anything to do with the Alice Cooper song “Poison” from the 80s, which was running through my head as I woke up…

Dream: Lord of the Rings and Family

Well, here was an unpleasant dream: K and I were were having a pretty good time watching *a* Lord of the Rings movie. It wasn’t the one in theaters a few years ago, but a different, much longer and realistic one. Frodo and Sam were on the long trek to Mordor when the movie ended (I think) because it was played only in 4-6 hour segments and we had to wait for the next one…

Then, K and I were eating dinner in a cafeteria and got into a fight; I got exasperated and stormed off, wanting to go ‘home’ so I walked the 2-3 miles alone to the place that we were staying at. It was a familiar place; perhaps my parents’ or grandparents’ house… Once I was there I was glad to be alone with my thoughts and started to pack away the food I had brought from the cafeteria. Then I was confronted by M about one thing or another regarding K, and I got exasperated and didn’t want to talk to him anymore. Then K arrived, mad at me for not walking with her, and I got exasperated and we didn’t want to talk to each other. Then, M & L2 were both there talking with K and then L2 started to talk with me, confronting me about this and that and I got exasperated and didn’t want to talk with her anymore. Then, somehow R & L1 were there too, chatting happily with me until M & L2 started talking with them and L2 began a long conversation filled with innuendo and drawl, telling stories and assigning blame and basically offended everyone. I got exasperated and didn’t want to talk with any of them anymore. In the end, I think the trip to Mordor would have been more pleasant.

Interestingly though, this dream represents one of the first times (maybe the first) that I’ve experienced a false awakening: I thought that I had awakened and started to document the dream by writing about it at my bedside (as I always do). …but then when I *really* woke up, I of course found that I had written nothing and had only dreamt that I had awakened. A very interesting sensation; I read that this sort of experience can be linked to lucid dreaming, so I think it is one sign that I am on the right path, at least in terms of increasing my self-awareness…
